Poison Spyder Customs Gas Tank Skid Plate for the Jeep TJ's and LJ Unlimited's is a quick and easy insurance policy! Located less than 1/4" from the bottom of your Jeep's plastic gas tank is the fuel sending unit (this is that part that pulls the fuel to the fuel lines). Such a vulnerable area should be protected from trail obstacles.

Constructed from 3/16" plate steel the Gas Tank Skid is able to provide the protection that your gas tank and sending unit needs. Provided with the Gas Tank Skid are 5/16" stainless steel hardware. Designed to slip over your factory tank without removal; average install time for the Gas Tank Skids is one hour.

The front portion of the Gas Tank Skid features a recessed area to allow clearance for larger than stock axles; as well as axles that have been pushed back (up to 1") from stock.

The Gas Tank Skid is designed to work with TJ's and LJ's with 2" of lift or more.

No welding is required for installation.
